We’re Kudi Pataka Designs. A modern day design house combining age old Indian traditions with our own eclectic modern touch. And just like our name, we’re an unlikely duo. A team of two sisters, a NIFT graduate designer and a former advocate, who came together to celebrate our love for handcrafted embroideries through our designs.
Our intent is to have our designs play the role of a supporting character in our clients’ special journey. Our designs stand for what we believe a modern “kudi” stands for – self-expression, irreverence, and individualism.
Our designs are a mix of contemporary styling with traditional techniques rooted in the thought that the modern Indian girl is a mix of local traditions along with global sensibilities. We strive to make pieces that can be up or down styled as per the occasion and we always encourage our clients to style our pieces with other items of clothing from their wardrobes to give them a renewed character. Since we do not believe in creating inventory, we also have the freedom to offer any styling changes to our designs that our client might need to make our designs truly their own. All our pieces are like fingerprints – unique and truly personal.
Our collection is designed and produced with painstaking hand embroidery and meticulous garment construction. It’s quite literally a labour of our love. Each of these pieces depict a different personality that we believe truly represents all the different moods and sides of the modern ‘kudi’. From the understated elegance of ‘’Chandniya” to the let your hair down cheekiness of “Luna”, the Kudi Pataka collection is an extension of all our personalities.
